1. Why did BEPAnews™ decide to launch this directory?

BEPAnews™, delivered daily and viewed over 2.5 million times, serves the largest audience in the building energy performance market niche. Over the last year we have received an increasing number of calls from building owners and commercial real estate service providers asking that we suggest providers of a particular product or service related to sustainability or building energy performance. Since BEPAnews™ does not recommend companies, our typical response was to suggest web research, an unsatisfactory response since web searches in our space typically return overwhelming, often useless information, wasted time and dead ends.

To be more responsive to this important and growing problem, we have developed an energy products and services directory to specifically serve our market niche in the commercial real estate industry, and to make the directory freely accessible to all interested parties.

3. Who is using the directory and how are they searching it?

The most frequent users are commercial real estate owners, investors, managers and operators looking to identify providers of specific products and services who typically search by product or service category and geographic location. Commercial real estate service providers looking for a specific expertise at a particular location also routinely use the directory.

4. Is there any cost to search or access the directory?

There is no cost to search or access the directory

5. Who can list in the directory?

Any company offering a building energy performance or sustainability product or service to the commercial real estate industry can list in the directory.

6. What does it cost to list in the directory?

The directory offers three alternatives for listing: a FREE listing, a Premium listing at $495 per year, and a Partner listing at $995 per year. (Learn more about our Introductory Discount to BEPAnews™ Subscribers.)

7. What do I get for a FREE listing?

A FREE listing includes your company name, office address, phone number, and the product or service category that best describes your capabilities.

8. Is there any cost associated with a FREE listing?

There is no cost for a FREE listing. To be listed under more than one product or service category, there is a charge of $49 per year for each additional category. There is no cost to list multiple products or services as part of a Premium or Partner listing (see below).

9. What are the benefits of a Premium listing and what does it cost?

A Premium listing includes all of the features of a FREE listing plus:
- listing under multiple product or service categories
- a link to the listing company’s website
- a contact name/phone number/email address
- prominent page positioning (view sample)
- Premium category positions are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis
- the charge for a Premium listing is $495 per year (before any discounts)
- positioning will remain the same as long as the listing is renewed each year

10. What are the benefits of a Partner listing and what does it cost?

A Partner listing includes all of the features of a Premium listing plus:
- the most prominent page positioning (view sample)
- listing includes space for your corporate logo and your company message (up to 200 characters)
- Partner category positions are sold on a first-come, first-served basis
- Partner listing includes discounted ad space in BEPAnews™’s daily newsletter
- the charge for a Partner listing is $995 per year (before any discounts)
- positioning will remain the same as long as the listing is renewed each year

11. How long will listing be active?

Premium and Partner listings must be renewed annually. FREE listings remain active indefinitely or until BEPAnews™ is notified in writing that they should be removed.

12. We sell nationally. What is the best option for us?

If you sell nationally, indicate this when adding your information for the listing, by selecting “Nationwide”. In this way, if a potential client is seeking your particular service or product in a specific geographic area, your company will be included in the listing no matter what the location.

13. We sell regionally. What is the best option for us?

If you sell regionally, indicate this when adding your information for the listing by selecting the applicable cities and state(s) where your firm operates. In this way, if a potential client is seeking a service or product you offer, and the potential client selects the area where your firm operates, your company will be included in the listing

14. What do I do if I have multiple offices?

If you have multiple offices, and you are using the FREE listing option, you should list each office separately. If you add more than one service or product category to a location, there is a charge of $49 per year for each additional category.

If you choose a Premium or Partner listing, you may enter any number of additional offices (with any number of service or product categories) at no extra charge.

15. How do I pay for the listing?

Payment for the listing is by credit card, unless other arrangements have been made.

16. How will you “secure” my company’s listing?

Once an initial listing has been received, approved and posted on the site, changes can only be made by BEPAnews™. Simply contact us with any requested changes. The email address of the person requesting the change must match the email address of the individual who posted the original listing. If that person is no longer with the company or is no longer responsible for making changes, a company officer or other responsible party needs to contact us to initiate changes to a listing.

17. How often can the company listing be revised?

As frequently as a company wishes, however all changes must be made by BEPAnews™ (see 16 above) and this can take up to 48 hours.

18. Can my company advertise in the directory?
