Warsaw, Poland, 16 June 2010 - Zebra Tower, an office building situated at Rondo Jazdy Polskiej in Warsaw will be the first office project in Warsaw to obtain a LEED certificate (The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Jones Lang LaSalle, international real estate advisors, have been chosen to provide the investors - S+B Gruppe - with certification and management advice in securing LEED certificate for Zebra Tower.
Pawel Warda, Head of Project & Development Services at Jones Lang LaSalle, supervising the process, comments: "We are very pleased we can support our client with our expertise and experience in field of sustainability and in particular management of LEED certification process. This will be first in Warsaw - and most likely the first in Poland - office development certified within LEED system. We are proud that jointly with S+B Gruppe, we can set a standard for future commercial developments in Poland."
LEED is the most recognised sustainability certificate for real estate internationally. The major benefits of LEED accreditation for a building include lower operation costs and improved marketability.
