Building Energy Performance News Service Launched Commercially
February 1, 2008 – BEPI announced the successful commercial launch of Building Energy Performance News, an electronic publication providing commercial real estate professionals and service providers to the property industry with the most important building energy management news of the day delivered daily via email. Additional news related to energy management as it fits within the green building movement is also provided in a separate section.
Building expense management is crucial to maintain value and energy costs represent one of the largest of these operating expenses. Efficiently managing a building’s energy performance is crucial to remain competitive in today’s market. Efficient energy management contributes to a building’s “greenness” and is attractive to tenants. Building Energy Performance News is designed to fill a market information void by focusing on energy performance and management as it impacts U.S. commercial property. Its goal is to keep commercial real estate professionals and those servicing the commercial real estate industry informed on energy-related issues impacting property and provide a platform to share experiences and learn from each other.
“With the green building movement growing and energy efficiency a key component, with electrical energy costs spiraling, and with oil prices approaching record levels, the need for better energy management in buildings has never been more important,” said Anthony Buonicore, CEO of BEPI. “The great thing about better energy management in buildings is that operating costs are reduced, making the building more valuable,” added Buonicore.
Building Energy Performance News is offered daily by email at no cost. To subscribe, go to www.bepinfo.com.
